Solid Food
Just before 2pm, Julia's first meal was turkey, applesauce, chocolate pudding, graham crackers, cranberries juice, and tea. Solid food means the doctors aren't worried she will need surgery. Tomorrow sounds like a big day including a visit from Dr. Tang, an MRI, standing exercises with the occupational therapist, and possible relocation. We purchased Julia an iPod to help with the boredom. We are looking forward to posting more good news. - angella

Julia: I just spoke with Marcela who wanted to pass along her "gracias al Dios" that you are doing better today. I've spoken to her a couple of times of late and she has always made you the very first subject of the conversation.
By the way, your Sunday dinner doesn't sound half bad minus some nice pinot noir to go along! Hugs, Cindy and JaNell
P.S. Just let me know if you need some obscure mandolin tunes or salsa music for that Ipod:):)
Great news! We are so happy about the solid foods too! Hmm how about getting Tina Turner's Rollin' on the River. That should conjure up some memories at the post ceremony celebration reception. Not just me as Tina, but Julia's dance partner. Mr.Pedder? I think was into the music.
Contiuned good thoughts and prayers are sent your way. Enjoy the music. How about some ABBA music, we just recently saw Mama Mia, the movie. It will get your toes tapping or at best how about a sing-a-long? Love to you, Julia
Julia,
We were sorry to hear that you are stuck in the hospital! However, it sounds like things are looking up! We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers! Hope to see you soon...have fun with the ipod!

Hey, Jules! Congratulations on the Real Meal! Not quite up to the standards of our last meal in Portugal, but not bad. At least you're moving in the right direction...keep going on that path and please avoid scaring us like that again. Bill & I have aged 10 years in the past 3 days.
love to you and many thanks to your great kids
Julia: Thrilled to hear you are doing well! We will continue to send you love and good thoughts.
We sent Alissa and Ang up with a range of books on CD. Everything from the modern novel to Harry Potter. We do have some "literature", but it is on tape. If you are interested in a we will track down a tape player.
Love
MaryAnn and Eric
