A Shower At Last

Mom had a big day. Herrick kept her busy with both physical and speech therapy. They had her up and walking and are working with her on managing stairs. She said it was busy and tiring..and she reports she did everything they asked. Her dizziness is still a big issue and it makes it hard for her to do most things. Mark and I left mom after a meal of Chinese take out. We bought her a new portable DVD player to help with the boredom. Before bed, mom finally got a shower! She is feeling clean and refreshed and ready for a good night sleep. Mom gets to rest tomorrow and then she is back to more hard work on Monday.

Hi Julie,

You are remarkable. Hang in there and if you feel like company, I'll pop in to say "hi". I could also pick up a milkshake on the way over. :-)

Hugs,
Nancy P

Hi Julia:

We're just back from a lovely wedding trip to see two dear gal pals marry in a Jewish wedding in
Santa Monica....deeply moving the kind of change we're all living now and you've certainly done your part to make family and the larger world a place for loving justly as I'm sure Ang and Alissa would agree!

I'm thrilled to know you are at Herrick, hard at work in the next phases of healing, and ready for some good work in Gracie's pool at the Berkeley Y. I shall use your eagerness and motivation to get there as my motivation to get back there too!

Delighted to know that things are improving and that you are enjoying some fine dining other than hospital fare!

Hugs, Cindy and JaNell

P.S. I end this phase of my "retirement" and start work at the CPUC on Wednesday. As I told you, if Dick Cheney got the same conflicts of interest vetting as I did, the world would be a safer place for sure!
